The opening event of the DAMA Mongolia Chapter was successfully held.
The opening event of the DAMA Mongolia Chapter, the Mongolian branch of DAMA International, was successfully held. The event brought together a wide range of participants, including representatives from government, the private sector, international organizations, banking and finance, technology, and research institutions, as well as data professionals and researchers.
Speakers delivered engaging discussions highlighting the importance of advancing data governance, data management, and data-driven decision-making in Mongolia within their respective sectors. They also emphasized the need to localize international best practices and professional standards, strengthen the capabilities of data professionals, and foster a collaborative data community.
The event was honored by the حضور of Ellen Mildred Brown, Chair of the Presidents Council of DAMA International, who traveled from Canada to deliver a presentation on global trends and professional standards in data management, while underscoring the significance of the sector’s development in Mongolia.
During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between State Secretary B. Myagmarnaran of the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications and G. Guen, Chair of the Board of DAMA Mongolia Chapter.
Going forward, the DAMA Mongolia Chapter will organize a wide range of activities, including training programs, discussions, professional meetups, research initiatives, and collaborative efforts, contributing to the advancement of data culture and data governance in Mongolia.
