The DAMA Mongolia Chapter has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communications.

📢 Registration is now open for professionals to collaborate on the “National Big Data 3-Year Campaign.”

During the opening event, State Secretary B. Myagmarnaran of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communications and G. Guen, Chair of the DAMA Mongolia Chapter, signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Under this agreement, the “National Big Data 3-Year Campaign” will be implemented nationwide, covering the capital city and all 21 provinces. The ministry will provide policy-level support throughout the initiative.

The main objectives of the campaign include:

  1. Increasing public awareness and understanding of big data and artificial intelligence
  2. Strengthening data governance and data management capabilities within government organizations
  3. Enhancing human resource capacity as a key component of the soft infrastructure for the high-tech sector, addressing foundational technological challenges in the country

A key highlight of the campaign is the organization of free training and engagement activities for senior secondary school students, providing them with foundational knowledge in big data, artificial intelligence, and data science. This initiative plays an important role in developing the much-needed human capital that underpins the growth of the high-tech sector in Mongolia.

A Call to Fellow Industry Professionals

DAMA Mongolia Chapter calls on data professionals across the capital and regions to personally participate in this nationwide initiative. Awareness of data management career paths — a field of growing global demand and increasing strategic importance — remains insufficient among high school students and young people in Mongolia. As a result, their ability to make informed career choices and gain a realistic understanding of labor market supply and demand is limited, and this has become one of the pressing challenges facing the soft infrastructure of the technology sector.

Industry professionals who wish to contribute to society by teaching senior high school students are welcome to conduct 1–3 sessions, and official registration opens today. Participants must have a minimum of 1 year of professional experience, and the sessions will use content developed by DAMA Mongolia Chapter.

We are also pleased to announce that several major national enterprises have already expressed their support by mobilizing their data professionals for this initiative. We are confident that together, we can build a better future, bring positive change to people's lives through technology, and develop our industry to a globally competitive level.

Benefits of participating in this initiative:

  1. One-year membership in the DAMA Youth Club
  2. Access to professional training materials for CDMP® certification courses and exam preparation
  3. Networking opportunities with data professionals across industries to exchange experience and expand your professional circle
  4. 20% discount on all open events hosted by DAMA Mongolia Chapter
  5. Featured spotlight for participating professionals on DAMA Mongolia's website and social media channels
  6. Certificate of appreciation for professionals who participate in the initiative
  7. The opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development of the industry and society through a nationally impactful social initiative
