Mining Analyst Professional Program

This intensive one-month program is a practical course designed to help participants quickly develop the skills to analyze mining data, assess production performance, and optimize operations through data-driven insights. Based on a Mining Analyst’s real-world end-to-end workflow, the curriculum systematically covers every stage—from processing mining data and analyzing production KPIs to developing dashboards and supporting operational decision-making.

Participants will learn to analyze mining production, equipment, haulage, safety, and productivity data. They will also develop the ability to support data-driven decisions using modern tools such as Power BI, SQL, and AI. The program is 100% practice-based, using real-world mining cases and exercises to build immediately applicable analytical skills.

Upon completing the program, graduates will be able to:

✔ Understand the fundamentals of mining operations and production, use Excel to process mining production, equipment, and safety data, and conduct KPI-driven analysis.

✔ Connect to mining databases using SQL, write multi-level queries for production, haulage, maintenance, and equipment performance data, and perform complex analyses using window functions.

✔ Use Python and Power BI to process mining data, analyze metrics such as productivity, extraction, and equipment utilization, build interactive Power BI dashboards, write DAX formulas, and create data models.

✔ Effectively use AI tools in daily mining analytics tasks to prepare reports, analyze production data, and support decision-making.

✔ Gain practical experience by independently completing an end-to-end analytics workflow using real-world mining data—from data processing and analysis to visualization, KPI development, and management dashboard creation. The final project can serve as a portfolio piece for prospective employers.

Graduates will develop practical proficiency in the core tools used by Mining Analysts—Excel → SQL → Python → Power BI—and learn to use AI to improve their productivity.

Successful graduates will receive an official certificate validating their knowledge and skills and may be recommended to leading organizations in Mongolia.
